The Beverage Engineer
Privacy policy
This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit thebeverageengineer.com, for what purpose, and what rights you have. We process personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Controller
m AG Holding Ventures, Büttenenring 1a, 6006 Lucerne, Switzerland · anfrage@thebeverageengineer.com
Represented by Marcel Amann. For questions about data protection or to exercise your rights, an email to the address above is enough.
2. Visiting the website and hosting
When you open the website, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, the referrer URL, and your browser and operating system. We use this data to deliver the website and keep it secure and stable. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for these purposes.
The website is hosted by Render Services, Inc. (San Francisco, USA) on servers in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. We have a data processing agreement with Render that includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
3. Contact form and email
When you write to us via the contact form or by email, we process your details (name, company, email address, project type, budget range and your message) to answer your enquiry and prepare a possible project. The legal basis is pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Form enquiries are delivered to us through the email service Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., San Francisco, USA). Resend is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the Swiss addendum also apply. Through the same service we send an automatic confirmation of receipt to the email address you provide; it does not contain the content of your enquiry.
We delete enquiries once they are settled, at the latest twelve months after the last contact, unless statutory retention obligations apply or a contract results from them.
To prevent spam, the form contains an invisible check field and a minimum fill-in time. We also limit the number of enquiries per IP address; for this, the IP address is held briefly in memory and not stored. No external captcha service is used.
4. No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services. Fonts and images are served from our own server; no content is loaded from Google or other third parties. Your language follows from the address you open and is not stored.
5. Links to other websites
The website links to other services, such as the Lake Side Valley online shop. Data is only transferred to the respective operator when you click such a link. Their privacy policy then applies.
6. Transfers abroad
Render and Resend are based in the USA, and access from there cannot be ruled out. These transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, which are also recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), and for Resend additionally on the Data Privacy Framework. Beyond this, we do not pass your data on to third parties unless we are legally required to.
7. Your rights
You have the right to information about the personal data we process about you, and to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and to receive or transfer your data. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Please contact us at the email address above.
You can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU the authority where you live or work.
8. Data security
The website is served exclusively over encrypted HTTPS. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access.
9. Changes
We update this privacy policy when the website or the services we use change. The version published here applies. Last updated: October 2026.
